Decades of correspondence between Vernon Schwalm and Andrew Cordier. Cordier gives detailed accounts of behind-the-scenes activity at the United Nations during the Cold War, and the reader can watch the situation in the Congo unfold.  Cordier's role in the Cuban missile Crisis is described to Schwalm as are events on the Columbia University campus during a period of student uprising in the the 1960's. Cordier is always in the thick of things and his descriptions of political figures and events are intriguing.

As Director of Camp Alexander Mack in Milford, Indiana, L.W. Shultz sponsored the tours of the Cotton Blossom Singers of The Piney Woods Country Life School, located in Piney Woods, Mississippi.  He also spoke at Piney Woods on several occasions. 

Genealogical information and correspondence (1947-1976) pertaining to L.W. Shultz who worked and taught at Manchester College in various positions (Librarian, Mathematics, Religious Education, Principal of Preparatory Department, Academy, Modern Languages) during the years 1924-1943.  The collection also contains books by L. Correspondence regarding tornados of 1965, also referred to as the Palm Sunday Disaster.  The Kokomo, Indiana, Church of the Brethren building was completely destroyed, and in other parts of Indiana four Church of the Brethren people were killed and four injured.
