D. C. Reber, was the manager of Manchester Subscription Agency. Prof. Reber’s service would have been like toady’s EBSCO – a centralized vendor of periodical subscriptions. This handwritten book begins on December 11, 1930 and continues into 1935.  Individuals from North Manchester, and out of state, local high schools, the Manchester College library, the public library etc. have their periodical subscriptions recorded along with price and shipment address. D. C. Reber is the Manager of the agency whose address is 901 N. Wayne St., North Manchester, Indiana.  

Copies of 1925 Oak Leaves articles reporting Thomas R. Marshall's last address to the public that took place at Manchester College commencement.  Also published is the last photo of Marshall following commencement on the College campus taken by Millard Royer, Manchester College alumnus, Class of 1928. There is also an Oak Leaves article regarding Marshall's death.  CD of material.

PEMM Club stands for Physical Education Majors and Minors Club.  The club was started in 1964 with the purposes of helping physical education majors get acquainted, sharing ideas, promoting physical education interests, offering opportunities for practical experiences in the field, supplying information for job opportunities, and developing assistants for the physical education department.  Mr. James Gratz was the first faculty advisor. C.P.S. Unit 101 Registrar's Records along with a brief history and reference material describing the creation of CPS Camp 101 and its sub-camps, of which Manchester College was one. Manchester College's 10-week program was directed locally by Dr. Andrew W. Cordier.  The sixty-seventy CPS'ers were chosen by Brethren Service Committee, and the plan was for them to leave the country and begin relief and rehabilitation work immediately after the program's completion.

A1963 a news release states that Dr. Rohrs had submitted his resignation to become associate professor of music and director of bands at Wisconsin State College, Wisconsin.   The news release indicates Dr. Rohrs had been a member of the Manchester College Faculty since 1959.

Patricia Kennedy Helman's story about Eleanor Roosevelt’s visit to the President’s home. This was prior to the construction of Tall Oaks, and perhaps added to the urgency of constructing a presidential residence.

Schutz was a professor at Manchester College, as well as a farmer, public speaker, pastor, candidate for Congress (Indiana,1932) and a contendor in the 1936 Governor's race. He was a Kiwanis Club official and Chairman of the Standard Life Insurance Company of Indiana. The collection describes Indiana before and during WWII.  Schutz corresponds with soldiers and provides names of North Manchester men killed in combat. Topics of import include; prohibition, economic recovery from the Great Depression, and Hitler's impact on Europe. Schutz was a contemporary of Andrew Cordier who participated in some of Schutz's political involvements.

Many drafts of presentations as well as completed speeches, articles, and sermons by Vernon Schwalm, including an address given in the fall of 1923 at Manchester College, the year the Academy was eliminated. Schwalm gives a brief history of the institution.

A vast assortment of correspondence and materials from a variety of sources concerning personal and professionally related topics. Some are related to the Church of the Brethren One letter of interest regards Mr. Max Pinney, Huntington, Indiana, who donated a charcoal drawing of Roanoke Classical Seminary (by the artist, Hansacre, of Chicago) to Manchester College.

Decades of correspondence between Vernon Schwalm and Andrew Cordier. Cordier gives detailed accounts of behind-the-scenes activity at the United Nations during the Cold War, and the reader can watch the situation in the Congo unfold.  Cordier's role in the Cuban missile Crisis is described to Schwalm as are events on the Columbia University campus during a period of student uprising in the the 1960's. Cordier is always in the thick of things and his descriptions of political figures and events are intriguing.

Shultz who worked and taught at Manchester College in various positions (Librarian, Mathematics, Religious Education, Principal of Preparatory Department, Academy, Modern Languages) during the years 1924-1943.  The collection also contains books by L. W. Shultz.  Publications include an autobiography, a history of the Brethren, and a history of Camp Alexander Mack.

The Lemberg Center for the Study of Violence contains information on the race riots of the 1960s and originated at Brandeis University outside of Boston.  The archive was transferred to Manchester College on permanent loan in 1979, and was housed there until 1997, when it was transferred to the University of Notre Dame.

Correspondence regarding tornados of 1965, also referred to as the Palm Sunday Disaster.  The Kokomo, Indiana, Church of the Brethren building was completely destroyed, and in other parts of Indiana four Church of the Brethren people were killed and four injured.
