Manchester University does not take an institutional position on the proposed Manchester Community Schools safety and improvement project, including the Squire Fieldhouse.

The University did not sponsor any meetings on campus in connection with the ballot issue The University had no authorized spokesperson or representatives at any meetings.

We believe that the core mission for Manchester is to educate students. That education is based on our enduring commitment to preparing students to think clearly, to evaluate data appropriately, and to engage in difficult and respectful conversations with others. That core mission means Manchester as an institution historically has not taken positions on political issues.

Some members of the MU community took part in meetings on campus about the November ballot issue, but any comments made were their personal opinions. Manchester encourages civil engagement by its staff, faculty and students, but the institution is neutral about ballot issues.
